Do you know, every day, everything I did, I was thinking about you and doing it for you?  Every morning, when I'd get dressed, I'd be thinking about being able to get dressed with you and what you would think of what I was wearing and how I looked, before I'd leave the house.  I was always so conscious of wanting to impress you and hoping you loved me.  It was always as if, I envisioned your eyes being on me and I would be adjusting my behavior, because you were watching me.  Have you ever been with anyone, anyone who worshiped you like that? Who thought he wasn't good enough for you?  Wasn't in your league?  Why can't you just be happy that someone loves you so much and worships the ground you walk on?

I discovered this song a year or so ago.  Every time I listened to it, I dreamed about introducing it to you as "my song to you", when we finally committed to life together.  I wanted so bad, to make that commitment and giving this song to you would've been the evidence of signing my name to my commitment.  I wanted to play it at our wedding and dance to it with you.  I wanted to look into your eyes and tell you that you were now safe and sound, with me, and that I would protect you and try to make you forget about all the anger and shit that you'd experienced.
